More Random Savannah

There were pirate flags everywhere in Savannah. Apparently there is an extensive pirate history in Savannah. I had no idea. We passed by a restaurant called the Pirate House that boasts that Robert Louis Stevenson wrote the first two chapters of "Treasure Island" inside while sitting and listening to the old pirates' stories.
This is Mecca for Paula Deen lovers. The Lady and Sons Restaurant. It was good, fattening food and we didn't have to wait forever. We just asked for a seating, they told us to come back at a certain time and we waited about 10 minutes. Very crowded, but very good service...and yummy "home" food. If I weren't from the south I would have been blown away, but since I am I can say it was just good Soul Food!

There were tons of these bronze statues around downtown. This is the one I liked the best.

These rubber boots were hilarious. Very chic. I wanted to go inside and try some on but the store was closed :(

This sign cracked me up for various reasons. I think it was a Candy Kitchen or a Bakery, but fortunately the smells were good! If this sign hung at my house I couldn't make the same guarantee.

This sign hung at a restaurant called Five Guys. Some of you may have heard of it, but it is a burger joint. They have, I swear, the best hamburgers I have ever tasted.

It sort of had a "Happy Days" diner vibe going on.

You only order ONE order of fries at this place. The picture above is only one order, they were so freakin' awesome and yes that is Hubby's arm next to the giant paper bag of fries!

So these are just some random pics of Savannah I had lying around. Hope you enjoyed them!

Underneath it all I'm really a 12 yr. old boy

The T-shirt below can be bought at a cool new website that I just found called BustedTees .
I am not in anyway, shape or form getting reimbursed for this advertising (hint hint guys!), I just found the site to be so hilarious that I wanted to share. Finding the site was completely a fluke by the way. I found it through a give-away blog that I follow. The first shirt below is by far the most hilarious for the obvious reason that I am a nurse, and yes most people seem to be more scared of catching swine flu than they actually are of STD's, as evidenced by the amount of them being treated nowadays. I want to buy this shirt and wear it to work...everyday. Originally I wanted to link each shirt to it's respective page, but I'm way too lazy for that. So, the link to the home page will do because they can all be found on that page.

This one is super funny for the reasons I listed above. It's my favorite and I think I will buy it!

In case you are at a sign-language-alphabet deficit, it says 'You Suck'.

Rock, Paper, Scissors...what more can I say??

This one set me to laughing loud enough to draw Hubby's attention. Shout out to my girl, Crazy Texas Mommy - this one's for you :)

I am a big enough dork to find this one to be pretty darn funny. Sad, isn't it?

Indeed, is there anything Jesus won't do?

This one is personal...I are dyslexic.

Oh snap....I'm showing my age. Insert random 'Oregon Trail' reference here.

And finally, my friends....
Thank you and Good Night :)

Pandering to the Mental Illness

I love that Blogger lets you 'pick' an identity.

When I leave a comment it asks me to pick my identity. It's my turn to decide who I am. Do I use my real name, make one up, use my URL? The options are limitless. Of course, it goes without saying that if I plan on commenting frequently on the same blog it's probably a good idea to be consistent.

Also, I can be a different person on each blog if I so choose. All roads lead to Rome as the saying goes because clicking on my name leads to my profile, which in turn will lead a curious seeker to my blog.

I am sorely tempted by the possibilities. Who doesn't want an alternate ego once in a while??

Blogging already affords the creative person with the joy of anonymity if they so choose, but allowing space for different identities really is icing on the cake.

Just one more reason I love my blog....it caters quite nicely to my undiagnosed multiple personality disorder.

Whaaa?

I found these on the internet. They are called "Fashion Pants"...apparently they are from Italy.
I don't even have the strength for this.
Really? REALLY??
Please tell me these people see what they look like wearing pants like this. From the thigh down: a nice pair of leggings. From the thigh up? Umm... how do I phrase this correctly....a woman wearing her husbands long john's...backwards. Does that cover it?
What has happened to fashion? I must be lost. I was looking for vintage dresses, or reproductions, and of course shoes. I was not looking for this.
My staunch opinion is that if you have to explain to someone why what your wearing is fashionable, or in anyway have to explain why you put it on your body, it's probably not for you.
These are most definitely not for me....and FYI? They aren't for you either. Just sayin'

Randomness.....

I am: completely annoyed at my husband's healthcare "team" (I use that word loosely) for a) bouncing him from partner to partner and providing no continuity of care. b) telling us they can no longer see him as our new insurance is now out of network two minutes after telling him he needs surgery and c) being wrong about the out of network part, which we didn't find out until we were already set up with a new doc...which I had to orchestrate as his "team" didn't deem it necessary to refer us even with the surgical need! Grrr!!

I am: secretly planning a Disney vacation...without my kids...in my head. Hey! A girl has to have a fantasy right?? I grew up in Orlando, my parents both worked there and I worked there in high school. I miss it in a way I can't describe without making myself look like a total dork. The only time I'm not planning a vacation back is when I'm actually there :)

I am: allergic to putting clean, folded clothes into the dresser. I can walk them all the way in the bedroom and place them ON TOP of the dresser they belong in yet never seem to be able to get them where they belong. I have no idea why...just something I know about myself.

I am: so short that my feet don't touch the carpet when I sit on my own couch.

I am: watching Bill Murray in Groundhog's Day for the second time today, owing to the fact that Hubby missed it when the kids saw it this afternoon. Yes, I am laughing at all the same parts again. No, it does not feel like deja vu.

I am: really thankful for Chap Stick. I think I might be addicted.

I am: done now.

Thank You :)
